Willow weep for me

This old song written by Ann Ronell is one of my favorite standard songs. It has been played in many ways and styles by all great pianomonsters like McCoy Tyner, Bud Powell and Art Tatum. On my latest cd "Bonita"I finally found this way to play it, hope you will enjoy!

O meu tio

This original song named O meu tio /My Uncle is dedicated to my uncle. It's pretty short song that change from ballad style to samba style. Playing music from Brazil and playing in the group DUOJ Brazil ( has really changed me as a musician. Today music feels more rich and powerful and that's really exciting!!

Lotus Blossom

I had the privilege to be the pianist in Sandviken Big Band for 12 years. On their cd "In The Name of Freedom" from 2009, I got the chance to play solo piano piece and I chose the masterpiece Lotus Blossom by Billy Strayhorn, written for his friend the great Duke Ellington. They worked intimately together for decades. This was one of Duke's own favorite tunes.

Sozinha Lonely

I play the keyboard in the group DUOJBrazil ( and this song entitled Sozinha(=lonely) which I have written is from our first cd called "Bip Bip" which also is a name of a legendary samba club in Rio which we visited in the autumn of 2011.

I'll Be Around

I'll be around(A.Wilder) here recorded with Sandviken Big Band, with "Jonken" Jonsson ,playing the tenor and me behind the piano. Jonken was a great human and a true musician. I learned a lot playing with him, he was always nice and encouraging and he also had a fantastic sense of humor. Just listen how he plays here... thanks Jonken!

This song is originally written by the norwegian composer Iver kleive. This version is from the cd entitled "Trio Askeladd" which also was the name of the trio. Working together with Geir Anfinsen (trombone, vocal) and Odd Inge Gjelsnes(trumpet) was inspiring. Meeting, playing music together and developing something unique, thats what I think music is all about. You can hear Odd Inge and Geir on my latest album "Bonita" on the track called "Botswana Road". Thanks Geir and Odd Inge, you are great guys and play so nice!
